This was Arnold's last starring role in an original property before becoming The Governator. (Terminator 3, a sequel, came out the next year, and he only had minor roles in The Rundown and Around the World in 80 Days.) Collateral Damage was originally intended to be released on October 5, 2001 but was postponed because of the 9/11 attacks. In the film Arnold plays a firefighter who's family is killed by terrorists and goes on a vigilante revenge mission. Very original, I know.
