A Decade of Movies #31

1408
Directed by Mikael Håfström
Released June 22, 2007

I got the DVD of 1408 earlier this year but didn't watch it until a few weeks ago for some unofficial Month of Macabre viewing. Many of my friends have been raving about how good it is since it was released. It definitely is a solid Stephen King horror story, but not the scariest or best thing around. It's way better than most of the horror movie garbage from this decade, though!

Be sure to check out the 2-Disc Collector's Edition that includes the 104 minute Theatrical cut as well as the 112 minute Director's cut with an alternate ending. (I actually have an extra brand new copy of this, so contact me if you want it for free. Just pay shipping or trade for something.)
