LOST Series Finale Countdown - 75 Days

Movie of the Day: Looker

Looker (1981)

This movie is awesome. It features one of the most ridiculously awesome 80's villains ever!  Looker is notable for being the first commercial film to attempt to make a realistic computer generated character, for the model named "Cindy." It was also the first movie to create 3-D shading with a computer, months before the release of Tron. I also like the fact that even though the movie is rated PG it has lots of boobs. Oh, glory days.

Movie of the Day: Gentlemen Broncos

Gentlemen Broncos (2009)

Apparently this movie sucks so much that it's theatrical release was cancelled. Fortunately the critics are not always right. I really enjoyed watching the movie, as it feels like much more like a spiritual sequel to Napoleon Dynamite over Nacho Libre. It takes place in the same bizarro universe as Napoleon Dynamite, with just as many weird (if not weirder) characters. It has many 'Tim and Eric' sensibilities, plus a heaping dose of awesomely bad sci-fi/fantasy segments akin to low budget turds from the 70's and 80's. Gentlemen Broncos was released on DVD and Blu-ray today.
